Aiming at the abnormal circumstance of load test on differential protection of capacitor bank, the paper starts from the basic principle of unbalance voltage protection and conducts a detailed analysis on ab- normalities that potentially cause maloperation and missetting of differential pressure protection of the capaci- tor by comparing and analyzing the coincidence relation between setting and calculation of technical applica- tion formula and parameters of primary system equipment. The paper finally suggests strengthening the opera- tion and maintenance of unbalanced voltage protection of capacitor bank combining the work practice.
